Howard Glazer started in the low voltage industry in July 1967, as a manufacturer's representative. In this year, he installed his first built-in vacuum system in his own residence he was building. Back then; very few people were familiar with this type of product. From then, to the present day, more and more people are becoming aware of the benefits of cleaning with Central cleaning systems.

In 1990, Howard sold the Agency business and became a dealer for BEAM Central Built-in Vacuum systems. At that time West Coast Enterprises was a "one man show".  In April 1991, Howard's son Brad joined West Coast Enterprises full time. Brad really wanted to learn the business "inside and out". Howard trained Brad in the procedures of how to install the Central Vac systems in new and existing facilities. West Coast Enterprises  also sells Built-In Ironing Boards, Intercoms and security Systems.  West Coast Enterprises handles  service calls on all brands of central cleaning systems and carries several parts and supplies.

In 1991, the company went from 1 truck and a single installer to 8 employees and 3 trucks today.
